Watton Gardening Project
Our new community garden project is now up and running!
Beside Youth C.I.C., in conjunction with Wayland Partnership, will be running a multigenerational project whereby adults from the community teach young people gardening and cooking skills.
Our aims of this project are:
- To teach teenagers new skills that they don’t often get the opportunity to learn
- To improve the wellbeing of members of the community, particularly young people
- To build a community whereby the older and younger generations can learn from each other
- To foster respect for the environment in young people
Watton Town Council have kindly agreed to let us build a vegetable garden at Watton Community Centre. We will be creating a space with raised beds to grow different vegetables and plants throughout the year.
Keep an eye on our blog for updates!
